Winter is coming – and that’s not so bad when you’ve got this recipe! Conceived by Bastien Gardrat, Cognac-based barman.

Cognac XO A. de Fussigny 50 ml
– Fig syrup (homemade) 15 ml
– 1 dash of angustura bitters
– 3 dashes of orange bitters

“Blend in a mixing glass, then pour into a rocks glass with ice in it. Put at the end an orange zest as a garnish.“

Tip: don’t feel like making fig syrup and love your cocktail extra dry? Replace the syrup with Audemus Covert – a fig leaf-based liqueur also made in Cognac!

Move over wine – great pairings are not limited to red, white and rosé. You can also add a touch of amber because cognac is actually an amazing pairing for certain foods.

First stop: oysters!
We recommend our A. de Fussigny Selection. This hints of citrus and fairly light palate are a nice balance to the oiliness of an oyster.

Tip: For a new taste experience, place the cognac in the freezer before your oyster feast. Enjoy!

An easy to assemble cocktail for when the weather can’t settle between summer and fall. Conceived by talented Cognac-based barman Bastien Gardrat.
